Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries Costume Exhibition title text

Step into Old Government HouseĀ and enter the opulent 1920s world of the Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher and her crime fighting associates. Based on the novels of Australian author Kerry Greenwood, the Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries series has captured the imagination of Australia.

This exhibition features fabulousĀ series three costumes and props by the award winning costume designer, Marion Boyce. See up close the outfits worn by Phryne Fisher (Essie Davis) and her cohorts – including Detective Inspector Jack Robinson (Nathan Page) and Aunt Prudence (Miriam Margolyes).

As soon as I put on Phryne's clothes I can adopt Phryne poses and promenade, and make an entry, feel confident and audacious ... They just make me feel so good that I get away with things I could never pull off in my everyday life.

A number of Miss Fisher Special Events were run during the exhibition including Miss Fisher's Lawn Party and Behind the Seams Tours.

The costumes have been generously made available by Marion Boyce and Every Cloud Productions. Miss Fisher logos
