Support OGH

Old Government House receives substantial financial support from the University, through the allocation of annual operating funds.

Support from the Queensland Government and the community is also central to its operations. Donations, bequests, gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, foundations, corporations and government agencies are welcomed.

Giving opportunities

Donations, bequests, gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, foundations, corporations and government agencies helps QUT with the restoration of the building and to present community programs, exhibitions, productions, performances, publications and educational activities relating to the house.

Friends of Old Government House

For volunteers interested in being a part of a working group, the Friends of Old Government House program offers interested participants an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences of Old Government House and Queensland history with the public. The group meets regularly and takes an active role in delivering guided tours and talks related to the house.

As a Friend of Old Government House you will be provided with any required training and will be accorded privileges as members of staff under the direction of the Alumni Office/Gardens Cultural Precinct.

Queensland University of Technology greatly values the contribution volunteers make to the University, acknowledging the major role they can play in making the University and its facilities, particularly Old Government House, accessible to all visitors, students, staff and members of the public.
