Tours are an opportunity to learn all about the history of one of Queensland most important heritage buildings.
A one-hour guided tour takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am. Find out about who lived in the House and their family connections, how each of the stately rooms were used, the grand social gatherings that took place here, and the events that occurred at the House which helped shape Queensland's history.
Guided tours are free but places are limited and bookings are essential. Contact us to book a tour.
Led by the ghost of Governor Musgrave, who died in the House, the podcast tour guides you through key moments in the life of the House with audio dramatisations of exchanges that would have occurred between the characters of 19th century Queensland. Echoes of the past reveal themselves as you wander through the rooms of the House at your own pace.
You can hire a pre-loaded podcast player from the Interpretive Centre at the entrance to the museum. Alternatively, you can download the tracks to your device prior to visiting.
