National Trust Heritage Festival 2015
From vice-regal childhoods and university studies to WW1 soldiers
Old Government House proudly presents a special tour as part of the National Trust 2015 Heritage Festival.
Moving through key rooms in the house, the tour will commemorate the young women and men who lived or studied at Old Government House, tracing the wartime experience of two sons of former Queensland Governors.
Serving as both a vice-regal residence, and then as the University of Queensland's inaugural site, Old Government House was where many spent their halcyon days before the Great War changed it all for so many.
