A free public talk and tour of Old Government House
To celebrate the National Trust's Heritage of Water Festival, come along to Old Government House for a public talk & tour. Starting in the Billiard Room, the talk will cover why Queensland's Vice-regal palace was rather oddly built so close to and facing the Brisbane River. Who chose this site and what have been the positives and the negatives of that decision.
After the talk we will make our way through the House to the upstairs western veranda – to see what difference 150 years makes!
Sunday 8 May 10.30 to 11.30am
