Treat your mother to an uplifting morning of mandolin music in the unique colonial setting of Old Government House. Featuring Mandolins in Brisbane, Brisbane's foremost mandolin and guitar ensemble will perform a selection of music with a distinct Italian flavour, from traditional to classical, contemporary and folk-inspired pieces. An inviting selection of teas, cakes and sandwiches will also be available to enjoy, making it a truly special morning.

Founded in Brisbane in 1998, Mandolins in Brisbane comprises two orchestras, the Queensland Mandolin Orchestra conducted by Nathan Aspinall and the Brisbane Mandolin Orchestra conducted by Joel Woods. Both orchestras feature talented players of mandolins, mandolas, guitars and double bass.
