The program begins with a tour of the current exhibition at the William Robinson Gallery, William Robinson: Genesis, and is followed by a drawing activity in the surrounds of Old Government House. Although known predominantly as one of Australia’s leading landscape artists, William Robinson has consistently explored the more intimate surrounds of his home through interior and still life subjects. In this workshop students explore the techniques and subject matter featured in Robinson's practice including his use of perspective, composition, application of media, and colour.
