Brisbane Open House 2026
Step inside history at Old Government House. As part of Brisbane Open House — a free citywide festival unlocking 90+ buildings — Old Government House opens its doors for this special event on Sunday 19 July.
While proudly open to visitors year-round, we’re delighted to be part of this citywide celebration of Brisbane’s architecture — inviting you to experience the house in a new way. Explore Queensland’s first public building through guided tours, interactive displays, and a fascinating panorama of 1870s Brisbane.
Guided tours are available at 10:15AM, 11:30AM, and 12:30PM on the day.
Visitors can also self-guide throughout our opening hours of 10AM to 2PM. No bookings required, please meet in Old Government House to attend a tour on the day. Come and discover one of Brisbane’s most iconic heritage landmarks.
