Rainbow Storytime with Sophie Beer
Join illustrator and author Sophie Beer for a special reading of her book, Love Makes a Family to coincide with our Indigenous Literacy Foundation Book Sale and Swap.
The smash-hit board book sensation about family diversity highlights all the ways we show love to our families and the simple joys of being together as a family.
All families and friends are welcome to come together as we celebrate the love that family members share and our delight in sharing our collective stories of love and family.
Sophie Beer is an award-winning illustrator/author living in Brisbane, Australia. She rejoices in creating bright, funny books for young people which centre equality, inclusion and kindness. Her books have been printed all over the world and have sold close to one million copies. She has published with Penguin Random House New York, Simon & Schuster, Hardie Grant, Scholastic, Harper Collins, and many more. As an illustrator, she has worked with the likes of Disney, Google, The Guardian, and The Boston Globe. When she's not illustrating and writing, she thinks a lot about plants, animals, music, books, equality, and Aldi choc-chip biscuits.
