Strings in the House

Get ready for a morning of enchantment as the strings take centre stage at Old Government House! Join us for a delightful concert featuring the Hillbrook String Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, and String Quartet. From the timeless classics of Bizet's Carmen and Rossini's Barber of Seville to the evocative melodies of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Handel's Water Music, the string orchestra will transport you through the ages with their masterful performances. Meanwhile, the Guitar Ensemble will add a contemporary twist with pieces inspired by legendary film composers. With plenty of strings attached, this concert promises a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
